Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Jasmine Clemente has absorbed city life into her spirit as she's evolved into a sensitive artist who sings from the depths of her soul. Watching the rich and poor ride together inside of the same subway, and listening to hoods rhyme from the strength of their imagination has exposed Jasmine to the true meaning of being an artist. It is to connect with the world around her and dance under its rainbow of triumph as this generation strives to go further than the one before.

The microphone became Jasmine's favorite instrument as she brought down the house by belting Mariah Carey and Deborah Cox hits for her High School talent shows. So it was an obvious prediction that when she entered The College of Staten Island, she continued her inspiration. Jasmine founded "The Latin Club" which entailed of coordinating special musical events for students and faculty surrounding her Hispanic culture. As President, she expressed a desire that all who participated would bring forth their best assets - be it personality, talents, ideas and anything else that would enhance the uniqueness of their team.

After gaining that experience, she became an Assistant Manager to a street team which promoted artists from several record labels such as Bad Boy, EPIC, Columbia, Def Jam, Motown and many more. They promoted at NYC's Summer Jam Concert, In-Store record signings (Aaliyah, Lil 'Kim & Genuine etc.) and at The National Puerto Rican Day Parade. Eventually a producer approached her to partake in a singing trio, however, Jasmine did not accept. While mingling amongst numerous professionals, she decided to learn the business and weigh out her options.

Throughout her artist developmental years, she sang live at cafes and venues in Manhattan, including "The Village Underground" and "Duplex". Furthermore, she has appeared as a model for "Hype Hair Magazine", "Braids & Beauty" and even won as a NYC finalist for a national Liz Claiborne model search in 2004. In addition to winning the contest that took care of her all expense paid trip to Barbados, she was also featured in the exhibit entitled, "BLACK STYLE NOW" held at The Museum of New York from Sept 9, 2006 until Feb 19th 2007.

As a multitalented young woman, she also writes her own songs as well as short stories. In 2007, she was asked to read her first romantic personal essay at a popular event entitled, "In The Flesh Reading Series" on Virgin Night for first time readers in Manhattan. Her story was about ending a relationship to find freedom in being single, only to fall back in love with a rebellious guy who could never settle down himself.

Jasmine Clemente now lives in Los Angeles, California where she is recording house music as a lead vocalist. She is creative, versatile, spontaneous and born with an undeniable talent.
